How the Community Map, run by Advcy, handles your data.
The Community Map is a public directory of London events and communities. Most of what you see is public information about organisations and their events, collected from their own public listings.
If you submit an event or community, we collect the name, website, address, image link and types you enter, along with your name, email address and phone number. We use those contact details only to review your submission and to get in touch about it. They are not published on the map.
If you use the concierge chat, your answers are put into a WhatsApp message that you choose to send. Nothing is submitted to us until you send it. Once you do, the conversation is handled in WhatsApp and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
We ask before setting any analytics cookies. If you accept, we use Google Analytics and the LinkedIn insight tag to understand how visitors use the site and to improve our advertising. If you decline, those are not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
Strictly necessary storage — remembering your cookie choice, and whether the concierge chat has already introduced itself — is kept in your browser and is not used for tracking.
The site is hosted on Vercel, its data is stored in Supabase (EU region), and map tiles are served by Mapbox. These providers process technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the site.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@advcy.ai and we'll deal with it.
If you think we've handled your data badly you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
